I want my home to tell a story. I want it to be a symbol of happy memories made. I want it to be clean, minimal, organized and easy to look after, but most importantly I want it to reflect who lives here.

It can often be hard to make a house feel like a home for many reasons, maybe you're renting and aren't allowed to paint the walls or maybe you've bought your dream house but you can't afford to do it up yet. Whatever reason it is, I've put together a few quick and easy tips to make your house feel like a home.

Surround yourself with memories, photos, ornaments, whatever it is that reminds you of a moment. Obviously, you can attach a memory to pretty much any item, so just think about your favorite moments and what will look best. I've picked my Paris Statue. For me, this reminds me of August 2015, a spontaneous trip me and my partner took to Paris, and where my life changed forever. Where my daughter was conceived. Every time I see it, I'm instantly reminded of this memory.

Play with textures and materials. Cushions, blankets, different patterns, and materials really help make a home feel cosy. Fur rugs, fluffy blankets, and some pretty cushions can all be super affordable but an amazing way to make your home feel a little prettier, cozier and homely. I picked up this throw and these cushions from b&m and when I dressed my bed, it instantly felt homely and fitted my style.

I love having fresh flowers in my home, it instantly brings life to a room. I'm lucky enough to have someone who works in a florist in the family, so fresh flowers for me doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. However I know fresh flowers are pricey so if they are out of your price range, fake it! Artificial flowers these days are beautiful, you can find really affordable flowers on amazon, eBay, The Range. Pretty much anywhere.

If you didn't already know, I love to have candles all over my house, I love the way they smell and the way they make me feel. If you are at uni and can't have candles why not try a diffuser? I have an electric one and I love putting essential oils in it throughout the day. I have Eucalyptus in it in the morning and this helps wake me up and prepare me for the day ahead and as the evening comes I will opt for a Lavender essential oil, this helps me relax and take down time. It Is little things like this that make me feel settled in my home.

What's important to you in your home? For me, I want a place where I love to be, where others feel comfortable and a place that's easy to maintain whilst feeling surrounded by all my favorite moments and memories.

What makes a house feel homely to you? Let me know in the comments below!

"Never underestimate the importance of good skincare"

Pur-lisse aims to deliver results and radiance through authentic time-tested Asian beauty wisdom with advanced French Cosmeceuticals. As it goes Asian and French skincare is usually my fave, so of course, when Pur-lisse contacted me, I jumped at the opportunity. I loved the philosophy behind the brand and I too believe a beauty regime should be simple, safe and effective.

When my goodies arrived, I was blown away by how much they had sent me. From their cleansing milk to their eye adore serum, Pur-lisse had a full skincare regime for me.  The packaging was simple, beautiful and effortless, I instantly felt excited to start testing out my new goodies.

I have been testing out these products for over a month and a half, I wanted to make sure I gave them a fair amount of time to work and for my skin to adjust to each product. Here is what I thought about each product.

Pur-lisse 4-in-1 Cleaning Milk

The ingredients in this cleanser are unmistakably gentle enriched with soy, oat, and white tea this cleanser gets my approval. It's such a simple cleanser with no extravagant claims. Whilst it is definitely a milky consistency it also feels slightly thicker and not as runny, which I love. It almost feels gel-like, I find the consistency extremely easy and convenient to work with. Whilst I adore this cleanser in nearly every aspect, I would definitely recommend double cleansing if your heavy handed when it comes to applying your makeup as this is such a gentle cleanser. The tube size is great, it is easy and practical to use. After using this cleanser my skin is left feeling clean, plump and refreshed. The thing I love the most about this cleanser is it doesn't leave me feeling like my skin has been stripped of all its moistursie.

Pur-lisse Essential Daily Moisturizer

This is one of them fuss-free products. So simple, doesn't do anything fancy but works like a charm. I didn't realise how much I enjoyed using this until I skipped it one day. It was then that it dawned on me this was my new go-to daily moisturiser. It is lightweight, hydrating and makeup sits beautifully over the top.

Pur-lisse Brightening Serum

This serum is completely different to your standard serum, it has a milky consistency. I personally have really dry skin and would have liked something perhaps a little more hydrating. I don't suffer from hyperpigmentation which is what this serum tackles. That being said my skin has been noticeably brighter and it leaves my skin feeling extremely soft. This serum sits beautifully under moisturisers and makeup. If like me your skin is on the dryer side it is a great product to layer.

Pur-lisse Eye Adore Serum

I've never really found an eye cream that well, caught my eye. I find most of the time they do pretty much nothing. However, whilst this isn't extremely hydrating and doesn't do anything to fancy, I find myself missing it when I don't use it. It's the simplicity of the products that make them work so wonderfully. My under eyes always look bright and seamless when this is underneath. I feel like it helps fill in fine lines and keep everything looking smooth.

Pur-lisse Blue Lotus+Seaweed/ Blue Lotus+Seaweed Sheet Mask

You could say I'm late to the party on this one. I've never really been a huge fan of sheet masks, until this year. I've quickly become obsessed with them. They are so quick and convenient and the benefits can be amazing! I've loved trying both of these masks. They left my skin feeling soft, plumped, hydrated and they smell amazing. When I applied these to my skin I instantly felt as if I was at a spa. Whilst these work like a dream and I would purchase them, I do feel like there are other sheet masks out there that are a little cheaper and do a similar thing. However, I definitely recommend these if your skin is sensitive as Pur-lisse hasn't added any unnecessary ingredients.

Neutrals have always been my thing, I have two colour palettes. The warm tones and the cool tones, one which consists of Black, White and Grey and the other consists of Camels, Creams and blush shades. I have always felt you have to keep cool tones with cool tones and warm tones with warm tones, the idea of mixing the two was ludicrous.

I've always been the person who sticks within the lines when it comes to fashion, but I've been obsessed with the combination of warm and cool tones combined. Sometimes opposites really do attract.

I have always been obsessed with effortless style, something simple, something comfy, yet stylish. This jumper dress is exactly that. Comfort for me is extremely important. I added some knee high boots to tie the look together.

Soft messy waves and glowy skin is the look I always try to go for, anything that helps my skin and hair look alive this time of year is a win-win in my eyes. I feel like soft waves make me feel glamorous, chic and effortless all at the same time.

I hope you've enjoyed this post. This is my first style post and I'm not completely happy with the outcome. I've got a long way to go but I wanted to share it, because after all. We all start somewhere.

"Make a smile your signature accessory"
"For me, a white smile is a must, it draws you in and speaks a thousand words."

Your smile can tell a story, the polite smile, the shy smile, the genuinely happy smile and the loving smile. Whichever smile your wearing, why not wear it white? Thanks to Pop Smile now we can all have pearly whites, fuss free with no sensitivity.

I'm always apprehensive when trying teeth whitening, while I want a bright white smile, I'm not prepared to deal with the sensitivity and discomfort that usually comes with it. So naturally when Pop Smile contacted me, I went straight to their website to do some research and instantly felt comfortable after reading their tooth whitening kit was peroxide free and 99% natural.

The Pop Smile kit that features in this post costs £72.44, this is the ultimate teeth whitening kit. However, if you're not fully convinced or ready to commit that sort of money Pop Smile also have a starter teeth whitening kit that retails at £48.29, which may be for you.

When opening the kit, I was instantly impressed by how compact and travel-friendly it was, everything fits into this beautiful little silver and white box. The packaging was attractive and the instructions were easy to follow.

The process was easy and fast. Use pre-treatment swab, form tray and fill with whitening gel, smile and place the led light in front of your teeth, wait 10 minutes and rinse. It was as simple as that. Each syringe type tube had lines on it to ensure you used the right amount each time, it really is a no fuss, fool proof kit.

The kit includes:

5x 0.2ml Accelerator Swabs
2x Mouth Trays
3x 3ml Whitening Gels
1x LED Activator
1x Mouth Tray Case
1x Booster Pen
1x Travel Pouch

I've tried a tonne of teeth whitening products over the years and I've always found my teeth have quickly become sensitive, but when using Pop Smile I didn't have any sensitivity, which is great. Did it help brighten my teeth though? Yes, 100%. It helped whiten and brighten my teeth. I drink coffee on a daily basis, so for me keeping my teeth white can be a bit of a task but this kit is so quick, easy and convenient to use. This kit is by far, hands down the best teeth whitening kit I have ever used. I was blown away with my results and didn't think it was even possible to get my teeth this white in just 5 days! I used the kit twice a day and once on the last day. From day 1 I instantly noticed my teeth were 2 shades whiter! I'm also obsessed with the booster pen. If you need a quick fix or a white boost on the go, this little pen is your best friend. I am seriously obsessed.

I'm sorry the before and after photos aren't the best, in picture 1 I was faked tanned and had no makeup on and in the second I was pale with makeup on (Apparently I can't apply lipstick to well either), anywho whilst they may not be the most accurate photos to go by there is an obvious difference, there is no denying that my teeth are a lot brighter, a lot whiter and over all a lot more attractive. (Neither of the photos have been edited)

I'm am so impressed with this kit. I genuinely can't believe I haven't heard about this kit sooner. I will 100% be repurchasing the full kit again. I am just chuffed with my results. I think I'm going to ask for another kit for my birthday, but until then I will be using my booster pen. To shop Pop Smile click here.

For me a candle can transform a house into a home, there is something about a candle that feels warm, cozy and welcoming. This candle from Landon Tyler filled my home with pine, fir, and cardamon. Each time I stepped into the room I was hit with the smell of Winter. Eventually, room by room my house was filled with this beautiful Wintery scent.

The candle came packaged in a cream box with a silver logo, which I found simple and sophisticated.
The candle is beautiful with 3 wicks and frosted glass, it instantly looks charming. It has 35 hours of burn time, so plenty of time to enjoy the aroma.

The moment I opened the box, the scent filled the air. This candle has a very strong scent, yet it distributes throughout my home so beautifully. It may be a little overpowering if you have a sensitive nose, but I feel like its a scent a lot of people will appreciate. This particular scent is classic and Christmasy. The smell mimics a Christmas tree. However now Christmas is over you may be looking for a different scent. Landon Tyler have 12 fragrances to choose from which you can view here.

Overall, I've been super impressed with the quality of this candle, everything about it feels luxurious, I can only imagine how beautiful their other fragrances may be. Landon Tyler also have room diffusers, hand wash and all things homely.

What's your favourite candle? Let me know in the comments below I'm always looking for new scents to try out.

I feel like I really neglected myself in 2016. I barely drunk, I removed my makeup every night but yet I still feel as if I didn't quite love myself as much as I should have. Whilst I've been on a journey of self-love for quite some time, I feel like I haven't put my heart and soul into loving myself and for me, 2017 is going to be different, It is going to be the year I dedicate to myself. I've set a few simple and achievable goals to help better me, to make me a kinder person, a stronger person and most importantly a person who loves themselves.
one: Quit sweating the small stuff.
I'm always guilty of worrying about the small things, the things that are completely irrelevant. Is my Instagram cohesive? Are my photos white enough? are my photos to white? whatever it is quit it.
Lifes to short to worry and waste time on the small things it is ok to post a picture that doesn't fit in with your Instagram feed. (I love a cohesive feed, but I also love in the moment shots)

two: Eat clean and exercise.
In 2016 my healthy eating habits went out the window. I definitely gained a few extra pounds, who am I kidding? I definitely gained a few extra stone and sure some of its down to having a baby, but that is such a lousy excuse to allow yourself to gain unwanted weight. I'm back to eating well and exercising and even after a few days, I feel like a new person, I instantly have more energy and just feel in a positive frame of mind.

three: Know when to take a break.
Okay, so whenever I set myself goals, I have a nasty habit of literally running myself into the ground.
When I eat clean, I end up completely restricting everything I enjoy from my diet. This isn't healthy, a girl needs some chocolate every now and again. I also obsess over my blog, my Instagram followers, likes and all that jazz, I know it's natural in the blogging community to grow and track your progress, just don't forget to spend time with family and embrace the things that are happening right in front of you.

four: Improve blog photography, scheduling, and knowledge.
I'm always trying to improve my photography, I feel like it's something that you can always improve on. I also want to try and improve on my posting schedule, I don't have set days that I post, I post when I can, but I really want be posting at least twice a week and figure out how and when is best to shoot my photos and write my posts etc. I just want to expand my blogging knowledge in general.

five: Work my arse off.
I'm hard working, always have been and always will be, it's just kind of in my nature. But this year more so than ever, I want to work my arse off in every aspect of my life. My job, My blog, My weight, whatever it is I'm working at it and I'm not giving up. I'm feeling more determined than ever for success, which is probably down to having a child, I want to be able to always support her and for her to grow up with a Mum that has worked for everything she has, for me that's important. I want to be her number one role model.

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and a fantastic start to the New Year. Thank you for continuing to support me and my blog in 2017! This year I aim to post regularly and create posts that you really want to read. Feel free to leave me any requests in the comments.
